What is Airbrush Tanning?
Airbrush tanning gives you a beautiful, natural looking tan without the long-term skin damage associated with UV exposure. If you've tried the Mystic booth spray tan, this IS NOT the same! This is not a booth spray tan and won't leave drips or streaks. A micro-fine mist is evenly applied over the body by a certified technician.
How Does Airbrush Tanning Work?
The FDA approved active ingredient, dihydroxyacetone (DHA), is derived from a raw sugar cane and reacts with the proteins in the outermost layer of your skin to produce a goden brown color. DHA has been used safely over the years in numerous sunless tanning products. We use a premium quality product manufactured with the most advance method available. Our solution allows for more natural color and longer lasting results than similarly advertised products that cost more. It takes 4-8 hours for the reaction to complete and your tan to appear.
How Do I Prepare For My Airbrush Tanning Session?
For the best results, shower and exfoliate the skin beforehand (between 24 - 8 hours prior to session). Make sure your skin is free of all lotions, oils, gels and any other products (including heavy foundation if you want your face tanned) that may create a barrier. You MUST wear loose dark clothing and sandals for at least 2 hours after you tan, or it will develop very unevenly. Wait 6-8 hours before bathing, exercising, sweating or rubbing your skin to allow the solution ample time to react with the protiens in your skin.
What Do I Wear For My Airbrush Tanning Session?
If you are a woman, you may wear your own lingerie (dark color suggested), our disposable thongs or opt for no tan lines at all; we are professionals. If you are a man, please understand that we are professional women and therefore REQUIRE men wear at least our disposable briefs, otherwise dark colored undergarments or swimsuit is recommended.
How Long Does the Airbrush Process Take?
It takes approximately 15 - 20 minutes to airbrush your entire body. You'll dry off using either a hand held blow dryer or a fan that we bring to the session. The entire process takes approximately 30 minutes.
How Long Does The Tan Last?
Your tan will last between 5 and 12 days, depending on how you care for your skin. The day after you tan, we recommend moisturizing daily to extend the life of your tan. A moisturizing tan extender product does the job perfectly. You'll want to avoid exfoliating, taking long hot baths or showers, wearing clothes that chafe, doing anything to encourage the skin to "shed", or your tan will fade more quickly.
